Accentors

A small, fairly secretive bird family that spends a lot of it’s time on or near the ground. They feed on insects in the Summer and seeds during the Winter. Only 2 of the Accentor family are found in Europe. The Dunnock and the Alpine Accentor. The Dunnock is the only regular inhabitant of the UK although the Alpine Accentor is a rare Vagrant.
